Sometimes I'm not sure what to write on my blog so I'm just going to share what I've been thinking about.
Before my last tea I was so busy I really didn't have the time or energy to head to the grocery store and pick up all the yummy goodies I would usually get. I decided that I was going to take a laid back attitude. A few friends are dropping by; they're not here to critique, they're here to relax, enjoy and be encouraged! What's in the fridge? I found leftover roast chicken, some veggies, I had a box of chocolates from Christmas. H'ors dourves from a previous tea (in the freezer). You get the idea, use what I've got. It turned out to be a very nice, relaxing tea. I wasn't stressed and we ate very well. When you're hosting an event or just inviting a friend or two, relax. Hospitality isn't about how much money you spent or how fancy everything is, it's about blessing the people coming over. I still used my fancy dishes and I don't think anyone thought they were eating leftovers! We had such a nice time, I'm going to do more entertaining with what God has blessed me with , whatever's available in my cupboards.
I have included the recipe for Curried Chicken Apple/Walnut Tea Sandwiches in the next newsletter. Blessings to all
